Made by hand
Nothing factory-made. Every piece is beaded, carved, woven or painted by a person.
The storyteller callsHadithi, hadithi!Story, story!
The listeners answerHadithi njoo!Story, come!
This is how every Swahili story begins. The teller calls, the listeners answer, and the story can start. We named our market after that moment.

Hadithi Hadithi is an art and craft collective at The Hub Karen. Under the umbrellas, Kenyan artists and craftspeople sell what they make themselves: beadwork, soapstone, kiondo baskets, carvings, paintings and Ankara fashion.
We set out to build a world-class craft market, a place where visitors meet the makers, hear how each piece was made, and take a true piece of Kenya home.
Nothing factory-made. Every piece is beaded, carved, woven or painted by a person.
Your money goes straight to the artist who made the piece, at a fair price.
Ask any maker and they will tell you the story of their work, in their own words.

Thank you for stopping by. Hadithi Hadithi brings Kenya's artists and craftspeople together in one place, so that the people who make the work are the people who sell it.
Our promise is simple: everything here is handmade in Kenya, priced fairly, and sold by someone who can tell you how it was made. We look after the market; the craft belongs to the makers.
If you have a question about a piece or about your visit, our contact page reaches us directly. We look forward to welcoming you at The Hub.

We are always looking for makers who want to share their work with visitors from around the world.
